Quest Periph
Our Verdict

The HyperX Cloud II remains a standout choice in the gaming headset market, balancing comfort, durability, and audio performance at a mid-range price. Its plush memory foam cushions and sturdy aluminum build make it ideal for marathon gaming sessions, while the detachable mic and USB audio control box add practical versatility. While the surround sound feature is PC-exclusive and the cable length can be cumbersome, these are minor drawbacks against its overall value. For gamers seeking reliable, comfortable audio without breaking the bank, the Cloud II continues to be a smart investment.

Still holds up years later

Bought these for competitive FPS gaming and they've exceeded expectations. The comfort level is unmatched even after 6+ hour sessions, and the mic quality gets constant compliments from my squad.

Great value but cable length annoys me

Sound quality and comfort are fantastic for the price. My only gripe is the cable is way too long for my setup, but that's a minor issue compared to how good these sound and feel.

Perfect for console and PC switching

I use these across PS5 and PC. The stereo cable works great on console, and switching to the USB dongle on PC unlocks the surround sound. Extremely versatile and comfortable headset.

Comfortable but ears get warm

After a couple hours my ears do get a bit warm under the cushions, but the sound quality and mic clarity make up for it. Solid headset for the price range.

Durable and reliable

I've dropped these more times than I'd like to admit and they still work perfectly. The aluminum frame really does make a difference in durability compared to my previous plastic headsets.
